Apostille of documents in Kharkiv

Apostille is a form specially developed by the international community, which shows that the document is recognized as legal in the home country when the citizen is abroad. This form is valid among the states that joined the convention signed in The Hague in 1961. Ukraine is also included in this list.
Apostille simplifies travel to other countries. A person who made an apostille of documents in advance in Kharkiv (Ukraine) can relax when traveling abroad. But an apostille is not always needed. It is needed only when a trip to countries participating in the Hague Convention is planned.

Apostille is a certificate or stamp of a standard uniform format, which is affixed to documents, or drawn up as an appendix to them. Documents certified in this way no longer require you to do additional legalization. They must be recognized in all countries that have signed the Hague Convention.
The Hague Convention abolishes the requirement to legalize foreign official documents. Currently, more than 80 countries have signed this convention. Ukraine joined the countries that signed the Hague Convention on December 23, 2003.

Who can put an apostille?

The "Apostille" stamp is applied only to the originals of state documents.
The following institutions are authorized to affix an apostille in Kharkiv:● The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has the authority to put a stamp on official documents issued by educational institutions of Ukraine, state bodies, and all organizations related to education. These can be such documents as: education diplomas, certificates, certificates, references from educational institutions, etc.
● The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has the authority to affix an apostille on documents issued by the justice authorities and courts, as well as on all types of notarial documents. These are such documents as: certificates and various certificates, all documents from the RAS, documents issued by notaries of Ukraine, court orders and others.
● The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine affixes an apostille to all other types of documents. Countries that have not signed the Hague Convention require consular legalization.
